Distributed Application Of The Four-Switch Buck-Boost Converter To Maximize Power Extraction In Photovoltaic Modules

This work presents the application of a distributed control approach to maximize the power extraction from photovoltaic (PV) modules based on a dc-dc four-switch synchronous buck-boost converter (FSBBC). The outputs of several converters are connected to series and parallel arrays, thus allowing obt...

Summary:This work presents the application of a distributed control approach to maximize the power extraction from photovoltaic (PV) modules based on a dc-dc four-switch synchronous buck-boost converter (FSBBC). The outputs of several converters are connected to series and parallel arrays, thus allowing obtaining maximum power point tracking (MPPT) in an individual manner, regardless of the temperature and/or irradiance conditions.
