Summary:This paper is intended to the applied Vehicle Network Systems, such as Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) and Vehicle Ad-Hoc Networks (VANET). The paper brushed up on the history and state-of-the-art of communications for Vehicle Networks. The paper provides the detailed analysis of implemented Vehicle Network architectures and communications in order to realistically assess the scale of deployment and range of applied technologies for the real existing Vehicle Network Systems. Existing ITSs, VANETs and DASs were evaluated and compared in the article.
