Summary:The objective of this study is to analyze the situation of road transport in Morocco in terms of energy use. In this respect, the use of an approach that can solve some problems, such as the DMAIC approach for identifying the different sources of inefficiency and proposing recommendations to reduce them, was discussed. This approach is structured around five phases: define, measure, analyze, innovate and control. To ensure the effective use of this approach, there are many quality assessment tools such as the 5W's & H method, the Ishikawa diagram, etc.
