Summary:At present, there are developments in the education system, both globally and domestically. E-learning is one of the forms of development in education field, which is currently a mandatory for the educational institutions in Indonesia, including universities. This e-learning technology was created with the aim of improving the quality of education in Indonesia. This study aims to explore the social impact of e-learning technology, more specifically, SPADA, in Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS), Indonesia. Dutta-Bergman's Channel Complementarity Theory was used as the basis for this study. This study involved six students of Journalism subjects who used SPADA in their lecture as informants, with interactive analysis techniques from Miles and Huberman. The findings of this study are that students consider SPADA to be user friendly e-learning, but have not been able to meet their expectations regarding e-learning systems. It happens because this is the initial stage of using SPADA, which is expected to increase in the future.
