Summary: | We present a study on the effects of introducing a receive beamforming operation into the Linear Sampling Method (LSM) for electromagnetic imaging of targets. The rationale of applying the beamforming operation is to reduce the dimensionality of the LSM system of equations and thus enable operation using a sparse or limited aspect set of sensors. We present the mathematical formulation of the beamforming-enhanced LSM with two different regularization schemes and provide an imaging demonstration with simulated data. |
