Summary:The Internet of Things is becoming increasingly widespread, and with this growth arise new concerns and challenges such as IoT synchronization protocols and power consumption. Despite the advancement of research, it is challenging to find an IoT constrained device operating system (OS) that can fill all IoT needs. The purpose of this paper is to implement the synchronization protocol SiSP under IoT OSs and to compare these selected OSs according to their power consumption. Study results show that RIOT OS is a better choice than FreeRTOS due to its efficient power consumption.
