Summary:An electric drive with phase synchronization (EDPS) is widely used in the construction of an optical-mechanical scanning unit for thermal imaging and laser scanning systems. The purpose of the article is to improve the dynamic performance of EDPS by developing an electric drive control method, implemented on the basis of a pulse frequency-phase discriminator (PFPD) with an extended linear zone and on the basis of a frequency reference unit (FRU) with an additional control loop. In order to improve the dynamic performance of the electric drive in the range of high rotation frequencies, technical solutions have been proposed for EDPS construction using improved algorithms for the operation of the frequency reference unit and the logical comparison unit.
