Summary:Compared to traditional LLC series resonant LED driver, quasi-resonant multiphase LED driver has the advantages of high frequency, low power consumption and small volume, which has been applied into broad prospects. However, there are many passive components in this topology, which take up the significant space. In order to reduce the size, an integrated passive device for a resonant inductor, a transformer and a secondary resonant capacitor is proposed with the flexible multi-layer foil (FMLF) integration technique in this paper. In addition, this paper introduces the composition principle of the proposed integrated device and the design process in detail. Finally, the validity and feasibility of the proposed idea are verified by the simulation of Maxwell/Ansoft model and 200W-200kHz quasi-resonant multiphase LED driver.
