Summary:Indonesia's National Sovereignty is fixed. National sovereignty must be guarded by land, sea, air power. Indonesia expects capabilities in development of fighter aircraft and related technologies. Capabilities is expected to be achieved through strategic cooperation, Indonesia - Korea, in the KFX/IFX program. In the EMD phase, key technologies cannot be accessed by Indonesia Engineers. Those key-technologies including mission computer, military avionics system, algorithm for sensor data fusion, dan airborne weapon system integration. From the early study and analysis of real-situation and explore more detail of this technology characteristics, from interdisciplinary perspective, found hypothesis and problems that related to these technologies. A number of literatures be explored to comprehensive understanding of value related these technologies. Methodology approaches are performed with analysis, study and influences / impact assessment also positioning paper related to the values of mission computing & information system as elements of critical technology for development concept of 4.5th generation fighter aircraft. This approach combined with key-technological analysis, specific discussions, and influences / impact assessments. As result, technologically, mission computing and information fusion as is nerve center of the fighter aircraft. From analysis from interdisciplinary aspects, from policy, economic, user perspective, strategic partnership, integration to fighter aircraft development, there are concluded as characteristic that this technologies are complex technologies, mission critical technologies, advanced technologies, sensitive technologies, dual-used of technologies, protected & expensive technologies, and reasonable as subject or critical-items for defense technology security issue. As direct impact of acquisition of this technologies related to Operation & Maintenance Capability and Modification & Upgrading Capability. As next recommendation, research clusters and research synergy can be derived / rooted from Mission Computing and Information System area and consider multi-perspective of stakeholders
