Summary: | This paper presents a deep integration strategy of multiple active devices within antenna for simultaneous power amplification and radiation through a unified design and integration space. In this work, these active devices are configured in parallel to enhance the power handling capability, and an E-patch antenna is utilized to improve the matching bandwidth. A brief analysis on active device characterization along with the prototype design and simulation results are discussed and presented. The realized prototype at 100 GHz in 65nm CMOS process exhibits an amplification of around 7.5 dB across 4.5% matching bandwidth along with broadside radiation. |
