Summary: | With the demand for events being on the rise, videographers are on the need to shoot events such as sports tournaments, high-profile weddings, concerts, filming. These activities usually demand longer hours of work using a wireless camera. But the consequences in relation to the operation of these cameras are highly dangerous and can cause severe damages to specific regions of the body, mainly the head, neck and shoulder regions. The serious issue faced while using the camera, is the exposure of the cameraman towards the electromagnetic radiation generated. When exposed to these EMF radiations, the symptoms noticed are headaches, anxiety, nausea, fatigue and tiredness. Electromagnetic fields also cause Dielectric heating that can create a biological hazard which also raised the need to study the effect of mobile phone radiation. This study focuses on the effect of the electromagnetic field exposure (EMF) to subject while using a camera or mobile phone. The objective of this study is to design an EMF protective mask and exhibit its usage. Experiment was conducted to measure the effectiveness of the mask when exposed to an EMF radiation. The experiment consists of 2 major divisions first by using a wireless camera and second by using the mobile phone. The data from the experiment was tested against several hypothesis and the results indicated that the effectiveness of the mask when it is worn during exposure to EMF. |
