Summary: | Space-time block codes (STBC) provide a model for transmission over Rayleigh fading channels using multiple transmit antennas. Several design criteria have been proposed to design STBCs for MIMO channels. The rank and determinant criteria are suggested to design full-rate and full-diversity STBCs. Division algebras are powerful tools that provide full diversity for STBCs. This paper gives a method for constructing STBCs using Abelian division algebras which can be embedded as a subalgebra in the matrices over complex numbers with an explicit embedding formula. |
