Summary:In this paper, a wireless powered neurostimulator was fabricated using a magnetic field resonance method. The power to stimulate peripheral nerve was supplied from a transmitter coil to a receiver coil which is connected to a peripheral nerve. In vivo test was conducted by stimulating a rat sciatic nerve using fabricated neurostimulator, and the motion of hind leg was observed corresponds to the stimulation. A portable transmitter coil system was developed using lithium-ion battery as a power source of transmitter system. This research aims at restoring function of denervated muscle by stimulating the peripheral nerve from the implantable device.
