Summary: | In this paper, an optimal lighting control strategy is designed for the lighting system with multiple lighting sources, to cut down the electric energy consumption. In the proposed control strategy, a novel multivariable fractional-order extremum seeking control (FO ESC) strategy is implemented into minimizing the light-energy consumption through separately regulating the brightness of multi-lighting sources, while a PID method is applied to guarantee the desired lighting level. Experimental results show that the light-energy consumption under the proposed strategy can approach more quickly to a smaller neighborhood of the minimum lighting-energy point. |
