In-situ gas sensing using a suspended ring core photonic crystal fiber

In-situ sensing capability of a novel PCF with a large central hole of ~60 m and a suspended ring core was investigated experimentally. The fiber provides a larger overlap between the measurand and the guided light with an enhanced sensitivity.
