Summary:In order to realize intelligent management of the street-along shop signboards, this paper designed and implemented a real-time monitoring and supervision system that is based on a wireless sensor network with active Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology. In the case of without manual intervention, this system can judge whether the shop signboards are moved or dismantled and send an alarm to the inspection managers automatically. During daily inspection, it is convenient and fast for the on-site inspection managers to get a variety of helpful information using this system. The online operation of this system reduced the manpower and material resources needed in the supervision procedure greatly and improved the urban management efficiency to a large extent.
