Summary:An efficient electrochemical biosensor using 3-D comb electrodes was proposed and fabricated by simple micro fabrication technology. The dimensions of the fabricated 3-D electrodes were 10-20 /spl mu/m in width, 10-20 /spl mu/m spacing and 20-30 /spl mu/m in height. The efficiency of the electrochemical reaction in the enzyme immunoassay demonstrated an increase for the 3-D electrodes compared with the 2-D electrodes. The 3-D comb electrodes is applicable for high sensitive enzyme immunoassays.
