Summary:Online tests are among the most widely used type of asynchronous interaction in Web-based education. The two main purposes of a test are to evaluate students' progress and to help students to learn. Recently, the tests have been used to update the student model in an educational adaptive hypermedia system. We propose a model for testing to be used with the AHyCo (Adaptive Hypermedia Courseware) - an adaptive Web-based educational system for creation and reuse of adaptive courseware. Our approach to the process of creating, delivering and evaluating the tests in adaptive hypermedia is described.
