Summary: | This study attempts to examine the dynamic dissimilar role of information sharing on dynamic trust and cooperation intention in supply chain. Two specific dimensions of trust are proposed - credibility and benevolence. To access the influence of the proposed two dimensions of information sharing - perceived information sharing degree and perceived information sharing quality - in supply chain, the outcome factor is examined - cooperation intention. In total 318 managers and 43 companies in China were examined. The results showed vast discrepancies between the two phases. In learning phase, information sharing is positively related to credibility and cooperation intention separately while credibility is positively related to cooperation intention. These hypothesizes are also validated in understanding and identification phase. Simultaneity, compared with former stage, perceived information sharing degree is little positively related to credibility and cooperation intention separately while credibility is little positively related to cooperation intention. Also, information sharing is positively related to benevolence and benevolence is positively related to cooperation intention. |
