Space-division multiplexed multicore fiber Mach-Zehnder interferometer for joint temperature and strain sensing

We proposed a novel multi-parameter sensor with in-line Mach-Zehnder interferometer in multicore fibers to measure the temperature and strain simultaneously. The cross sensitivities are eliminated and the relative measurement error is less than 5%.
