Summary:The many applications of CAD/CAM softwares in the metal-mechanical industry have led to the presence of disciplines involving these subjects in the curriculums of related courses. To prevent the lessons from being turned into a course on using specific software, we have prepared a model of fully contextualized lessons, where the practical reality of the manufacturing process is discussed, not only the functioning of the software tools. The content schedule was organized according to the main manufacturing processes found in the metal-mechanical industry. Thus, the fact of drawing a simple model, adding data relating to the production process in question, makes it clear that inducing the student to seek such information for resolution of the drawings, trains them in the aspect of research, problem solving and handling software.
