Summary:In this paper, a polynomial profile corrugated horn antenna is designed for operation in the microwave Ku band region. The structure of horn, combining the horizontal and vertical corrugations, has been optimized so that the cross-polar level in the 45 ° plane relative to the linearly polarized field vector is minimized during the operating frequency range. The performance of the designed horn antenna has been simulated. The results of the simulation show that cross-polar levels are below -30dB during the designed frequency bands.
