Summary:The development of human cancer is associated with sequence of genetic changes, which lead to characteristic alterations. In most cases the function of these abnormal behavior of cells is still not known. In this paper, we used maximum likelihood (ML) method distance-based algorithms to estimate the tree topology and the parameters of the model. We also used bootstrap validation to illustrate the use of our ML method. We applied it to a data set obtained from cytogenetic analysis of carcinoma samples.
