Integrated asymmetric Mach-Zehnder interferometer WDM (de)multiplexer using quantum well intermixing

An InGaAs/InAlGaAs monolithically integrated asymmetric Mach-Zehnder interferometer WDM (de)multiplexer has been fabricated using quantum well intermixing. Wavelength tuning using current injection is demonstrated and a channel extinction ratio >25 dB is achieved.
