Summary: | The effects of spatial correlation and Rician fading on the capacity of MIMO systems under different channel conditions are investigated in this paper. Antenna spatial correlation is computed by employing uplink statistical MIMO channel model with angular energy distributed over multi-clusters. Two types of antenna arrays are considered, the uniform linear array (ULA) and the uniform circular array (UCA) at both ends of the system. The impact of array elements separation, mean angle-of-arrival (AOA) and angle spreads (AS) of the received signal per cluster on the capacity are presented. Also, the impact of considering K factor of the Rician distribution for single and multiclusters environments is studied under different propagation scenarios. |
