Summary:This article put forward the concept of voltage dip ride through capability test system of electrical equipment, and made the definition and description for the composition, function and application of the test system. We got the voltage dip ride through curve through the experimental study of AC contactor using the test system. The test results show that the voltage dip ride through capability of AC contactor is greatly influenced by the voltage dip initial phase angle. The results of this study can provide reference for AC contactor or similar electrical equipment manufacturers to research the voltage dip characteristics and improve the design of the equipments, strengthening the voltage dip ride through capability and reducing economic losses of users. The results also can provide guidance to choose such equipments for users.
