Summary:Diffusion of electronic services in the medical industry has gather speed with the help of recent developments in the information and communication technologies. Health information service is one of these services that deal with repository, retrieval and make use of medical information in order to improve service quality and reduce cost. Users - including medical staff, administrative staff and patients - of these systems cannot benefit them in a full capacity unless using them comfortably. Behavior of these adopters is affected by various factors related to both of the technology characteristics, user characteristics, social environment and organizational environment in the adoption process. This research will evaluate determinants of health information service adoption among users and analyze relationship of these determinants with the behavior of the user. Moreover, taxonomy about factors that affect technology usage in medical industry will be developed at the end of the study.
