Summary: | This paper deals with analytical procedure and test results of claw-pole type eddy current coupling with copper-faced drums. Slip speed-torque characteristic of eddy current couplings at various excitations is also calculated using 3-dimensional analysis. The magnetic equivalent circuit of the eddy current coupling is used to find parameters considering the effects of the performance. Analytical results of speed-torque characteristic on eddy current coupling are shown that it is valid compared to test results. |
