Summary:This paper presents the design of position and current controllers for an electromagnetic levitation platform. The system will be linearized and modelled. A PID controller for the position (gap levitation and roll) and a PI controller for the current will be designed. Simulation results will be presented for the following input signals: a step reference and a sinusoidal reference. Some experimental results will also be presented.
