Induction Motor Sensorless and Closed Loop Torque Control in Frequency Converters

This paper presents a comparative study on field oriented torque control quality with and without an encoder feedback. First, the basic principles of field oriented torque control are given. Further, the experimental laboratory induction motor control drive is described. The closed loop field orient...

Summary:This paper presents a comparative study on field oriented torque control quality with and without an encoder feedback. First, the basic principles of field oriented torque control are given. Further, the experimental laboratory induction motor control drive is described. The closed loop field oriented torque control with encoder feedback and sensorless field oriented torque control are implemented in laboratory induction drive control set and torque control quality is tested under various loading conditions.
