Summary: | This paper proposes a new safe-commutation technique for control rectifier operation using single-phase matrix converter. The aim of this paper is to develop a new safe-commutation technique for single-phase matrix converter in order to eliminate voltage spike due to an inductive load. The proposed strategy was developed by consider the switches turn on time (t on ) including the rise time (t r ) and the fall time (t f ) of the actual switches to allows dead time in order to release the energy of the inductor during off time period. A computer simulation model was developed and selected results are presented to investigate and verify the proposed technique using MATLAB/Simulink (MLS). |
