There are conflicting demands for the integrated software platform for mobile handsets. The author summarizes unique challenges in the mobile data service evolution with a time-consuming spiral evolution pattern, the author discusses the business model engineering for the mobile software platform in the data intensive mobile age using the technology-business combined perspective from lessons learned in the recent mobile Internet evolution.
