Summary: | A major drawback of the orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) systems is Peak-to-Average Power Ratio (PAPR) of the transmitted signal, which leads to a very costly and inefficient straightforward implementation. A new OFDM system, which exploited three-dimensional (3-D) signal mapper and 2-D IDFT modulator, and called it 3-D OFDM, has much improved performance as compared with conventional OFDM. In this paper the PAPR of a 3-D OFDM technique have investigated and it is shown that 3-D OFDM system also improved PAPR as compared with conventional OFDM. |
