Summary:In this paper we present an approach for the authoring of interactive audio-visual services for the transmission to mobile devices using a broadcast channel. Our considerations imply a concept for a platform independent textual description of interactive services that can be transformed to several distribution formats. This concept is based on a high level authoring format for the creation of this services. Based on this high level authoring format we developed a Java-based authoring system, that allows the visual creation of interactive services in a WYSIWYG environment. In addition to the concept for the platform independent service creation we introduce an approach for automated content aggregation using web-based content as information source and give an overview of some interactive sample applications created by using the authoring framework.
