Summary:We describe recent work on parameter identifiability analysis and estimation for lithium-ion battery models. The open circuit potential (OCP) of each half cell is demonstrated to strongly impact the parameter identifiability. Parameter estimates of diffusional time constants and charge transfer resistances are obtained, and a separate independent comparison against time domain data demonstrates an acceptably low voltage error.
