A compact K-band planar antenna with high gain and narrow beam
In this paper, a narrow-beam antenna operating in the K-band is proposed. The half-power lobe width of the E-plane and the H-plane is 10° and 5 °, respectively. The maximum gain is 27dB with the aperture efficiency as high as 63.68%. In order to reduce the size of the antenna and the loss of the fee...

Summary: | In this paper, a narrow-beam antenna operating in the K-band is proposed. The half-power lobe width of the E-plane and the H-plane is 10° and 5 °, respectively. The maximum gain is 27dB with the aperture efficiency as high as 63.68%. In order to reduce the size of the antenna and the loss of the feed network, the antenna is fed at the non-radiating edge, ensuring high gain and narrow beam at the same time. The parallel-fed network used in this paper guarantees the beam-pointing not changing with the frequency. This antenna is a good choice for high-precision radar. |
