Summary: | The goal in many fault isolation schemes is to decrease the isolation and identification time. The mathematical model of the physical system is the information available before hand. This paper presents the application of a nonlinear model based adaptive observer design to help in the isolation of faults in parameters of nonlinear dynamic systems. The method uses parameter partition and it fits many kinds of nonlinear dynamic systems. One important assumption is the monotonicity of the nonlinear function. The simulations results of an alcoholic fermentation model are used to demonstrate the method validity. |
