Summary:In this paper, a foot plantar pressure measurement system was developed based on resistive sensor. It consists of three self-developed flexible force-sensitive sensors, hardware circuit and software. Each of the sensors incorporates 3600 micro-pressure-sensors on an area of 40 by 40 cm, giving a resolution of approximately 14.5 sensors per square inch. The main functions of this system are as follows: data acquisition, data transmission, data analysis, data display and personal information management. We used this system and Zebris FDM-S pressure plate to analyze dynamic plantar pressure of subjects with the knee joint injury and normal control subjects respectively. The analysis results of the two systems are consistent, which shows that this system has higher stabilization and sensitivity and also has clinical value.
