Large-area replication technology for the production of electrical-optical circuit boards (EOCB)

A large-area (390 mmtimes150 mm) replication technology for polymer optical waveguides is presented. SU-8 casting moulds are used for the fabrication of polysiloxane (PDMS) based optical waveguides. The waveguides show low optical loss and high thermal, mechanical and environmental stability.
