Summary: | The exploring work of using the synthetic diamond film electrode to degrade pollutants through electrochemical oxidation technology has become one of the most concerned research hot spots in the environmental electrochemistry fields. BDD film electrode is an innovative material having the widest electrochemical window and an excellent stability in an acid or alkali solution. BDD film electrode has a strong capacity in degradation of nonbiodegradable pollutants in different organic wastewaters such as phenol compounds, dyes, and pesticides etc. The current efficiencies of more than 90% for water body purification and pollutants being completely mineralized have been demonstrated. This paper discussed and summarized the electrochemical behaviors and applications of BDD film electrode in nonbiodegradable organic wastewater treatment. |
