Defragmentation of flexible optical networks based on simulated annealing

We analyze the defragmentation problem of flexible optical networks and propose a defragmentation method based on simulated annealing. Compared with one-step defragmentation methods, the simulated-annealing-based method offers lower blocking probability and higher resource utilization efficiency.
