Record-high optical gain in a single crystal erbium chloride silicate nanowire at 1532 nm
We demonstrate a record level of optical gain at 189 dB/cm and a spatial-averaged signal enhancement of ~ 902 dB/cm at 1532 nm from a single-crystal erbium chloride silicate nanowire by performing systematic optical characterizations.
