The Comparative Study of Various PEMS Instruments Under China's Conditions

This paper studies the conformity of the emission results of a heavy duty diesel truck from different PEMS in an environment room using a chassis dynamometer. Four kinds of PEMS are tested in this paper. The test conditions are: altitude 2400m, 2000m, temperature −7C, and normal temperature & pr...

Summary:This paper studies the conformity of the emission results of a heavy duty diesel truck from different PEMS in an environment room using a chassis dynamometer. Four kinds of PEMS are tested in this paper. The test conditions are: altitude 2400m, 2000m, temperature −7C, and normal temperature & pressure. The test cycle is C-WTVC transient test cycle. Four consecutive cycles are tested. The test results are compared with those from Horiba CVS, to analyse the conformity of the test results of CO2, CO, NOx and PN. It is shown that, for CO2, the conformity of these PEMS are high; for CO, the deviation is large; for PN, in normal condition the conformity is high while in extreme condition it is low. This research is helpful to China VI emission test.
