Summary:This paper describes the use of fuzzy logic and microcontroller in transport system for enhancing the use of public transport and reducing private vehicle usage for environmental protection. Major cause of air pollution is due to the use of fossil fuel, so this paper describes optimal and efficient usage of the private and public transportation system. In the present study On Board Diagnostics - port II is used to gather data from the car like distance travelled and the fuel consumption for each data. These data is fed to the microcontroller to process the data and fed to the fuzzy logic control module where the data are further processed and analyzed. As a result the processor guides the passenger to use the mode of transport, CO 2 emission on daily basis and the other options like simple mode of transport like bicycle and the possible calories that can be burnt.
