Summary:In this paper we take a comprehensive look into the practice of developing and executing reliability program plans. The paper is divided in three sections. In the first section we identify best practices concerning the process of developing and implementing a reliability program plan (RPP). The second section deals with the common pitfalls and the lessons learned from developing reliability program plans. In the last section, we present the results of a broad customer survey that captures and categorizes common practices and problems when developing and implementing a reliability program plan.
