Summary:Sensor-to-controller delay in a remote control system possessing wireless devices is considered in this paper. There is a concern that communication delay would increase when wireless communication is used instead of wired one. The purpose of this paper is to design the networked control system against increased communication delay by using a particle filter. It is assumed that there are three types of communication delay. They are based on uniform distribution, normal distribution, and constant. One of them occurs in our simulation. A particle filter is a method for statistically estimating unobservable values from observable ones and model equations. The influence of each communication delay is reduced by using estimated output in simulation.
