Summary: | An efficient non-data-aided carrier recovery is presented in this paper, which can be applied in digital satellite receivers. It can acquire large carrier frequency offsets at very low signal-to-noise ratio (SNR). The proposed two-step scheme consists of a low-resolution discrete complex Fourier transform (DFT) to counteract carrier frequency offset initially, and a carrier recovery loop for accurate fine tracking. In order to reduce the hardware complexity, we adopt software controller to assist coarse frequency estimation. Experimental results demonstrate the high performance and low complexity of the proposed scheme. |
