UWB measurements of canonical targets and RCS determination

The experimental system described allows to measure the impulse scattering responses from a variety of simple targets. The corresponding RCS are determined in the frequency range from 100 to around 800 MHz. The ground-target interaction is minimised with an average of some measurements made at diffe...

Summary:The experimental system described allows to measure the impulse scattering responses from a variety of simple targets. The corresponding RCS are determined in the frequency range from 100 to around 800 MHz. The ground-target interaction is minimised with an average of some measurements made at different heights around 40 centimetres. The first experiments allow to realise a new measurement set-up in an anechoic chamber with better accuracy.
