Summary:This paper aims to reflect the synergy between Virtual Reality (VR) and personalized medicine by showcasing recent advancements in VR-based solutions across various medical contexts and conditions. Furthermore, Artificial Intelligence (AI) plays a vital complementary role within VR solutions, enhancing their effectiveness and personalization. By harnessing AI's data analysis, VR treatments can be adjusted to individual patient's needs. This work introduces an innovative VR-based system designed to improve social skills and abilities for individuals with autism spectrum disorders (ASD). The architecture presented here entails immersive scenarios adapted to individual profiles and customizable environments. The convergence of VR and personalized medicine holds transformative potential; thus, this research represent a pioneering application in the field of autism therapy.
