Transmission characteristics of CRLH rectangular waveguides constructed by the cutoff modes of TM and TE waves
Composite right/left-handed (CRLH) rectangular waveguides has been proposed. Summary: | Composite right/left-handed (CRLH) rectangular waveguides has been proposed. In the waveguides, negative permeability is realized by the cutoff TM 11 mode, of which electromagnetic field distribution is similar to that of a coaxial-line TEM mode. On the other hand, negative permittivity is realized by the cutoff TE mode in the waveguides divided into 4 sections by an H-shaped conductor partition. It is verified from the dispersion diagram and the transmission characteristics that the proposed guides successfully possess the left-handed nature. |
